Strategic choices – the main task of the management team

We spend most of our time trying to reach the right level of understanding of the business, the environment, the competitive space, the opportunities, the constraints and the future. Most of our time!

Obviously, decision-making should follow this analysis and the understanding it brings, but all this precious time should be further utilized through Strategic Decisions and a very clear Execution Plan!

As humans, we like to immerse ourselves in the process of analysis and reflection and most of the time we avoid change (decision making).

As Leaders, this is where we can really make a Difference! Investing time.

Quality time in Decision making and Alignment followed by Execution / Implementation Planning.

Therefore, the main task of the Management Team is to make Strategic Decisions well informed And with impact and to ensure that the strategies are executed in the market with a High Accuracy and a lot of involvement from the teams – daily!

Businesses ask us to deliver execution, our teams ask us to be clear and driven by purpose and results, and we as Leaders need to make sure all the pieces are in place, moving in perfect harmony.

It is not an easy job for a single leader…however, things become much easier when the Leadership Team is aligned on the essential Strategic Choices and how to bring them to life!

Making strategic choices as a team is often more important than advocating the best strategy alone!

This is possible if we reflect together, debate and find the energy within ourselves to look at the higher purpose, instead of looking at our "silo" strategy!
